How does scoring work?
Tap a block to make it the magnet. Every block of the same color slides toward it, and any 4 or more touching blocks of one color clear. When the blocks settle, new clears can set off a chain, and each step in the chain raises the multiplier. The readout under the board shows what your last tap scored.
How do lives work?
You start with 4 lives. A tap that clears nothing costs one. Score 250 or more in a single tap (chains included) to win one back, up to 4. Each life you win back raises that target by 100. Next life under the board shows the current target.
The board has no moves left. What now?
When no tap can clear anything, the game offers Reshuffle for one life. If you're on your last life when that happens, the game ends.
When do ads appear?
A full-screen ad appears after every third finished game, when you start the next one. Ads never appear during play.
How do I change my ad privacy choices?
If you're in a region where a consent choice applies (such as the EEA, the UK or some US states), open Help in the game and tap Privacy options. On iPhone you can also turn tracking off in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking. See the privacy policy for details.
How do I reset my best score?
The Best score in the game is stored only on your phone. To reset it, clear the app's data: on Android, go to Settings › Apps › Magnet Squared › Storage › Clear storage. On iPhone, delete and reinstall the app. This also resets your ad privacy choices. It doesn't change the leaderboard; to leave that, see below.
Does it work offline?
Yes. The game plays fully offline; ads only load when you're online. Games started offline aren't ranked on the leaderboard.
Leaderboard
How does the leaderboard work?
It's one global board shared by Android, iPhone and the web demo, with an all-time ranking and a weekly one that restarts every Monday (UTC). There's no account: the first time you finish a game, the game offers to add your score under a display name you choose. Tap Not now and it won't ask again; you can join later from Ranks. Only your best score shows. Your display name is public, so don't use your real name.
Why wasn't my game ranked?
Each ranked game starts from a layout our server deals, and the server checks the score by replaying your taps. A game isn't ranked if it started while you were offline, or if a newer version of the game is out (update the app, or reload the web page). If you lose your connection at the end of a game, it's sent the next time you play online.
How do I change my name or leave the leaderboard?
Open Ranks. Tap Rename to change your name, or Remove me twice to delete your name and all your scores from the leaderboard. If you've uninstalled the app or cleared your browser's data first, email us your display name and we'll remove it. See the privacy policy for what's stored.
How do I report a name?
Tap Report a name at the bottom of Ranks, or email support@magnetsquared.com with the name. We hide or rename names that are offensive or impersonate someone.
